結局、社長が会議で途中退場していったん収まった

In the end, it was settled for now because our boss leave in the middle of the meeting.
結局、上司が会議の途中で辞めたので、とりあえず決着しました。

場が収まる

settle「決める、解決する」を使えば場が収まる的なニュアンス表現できるみたい

途中退席

leave in the middle of the meeting
I’ll have to excuse myself from the meeting.

って表現があった
excuseは「弁明する」とかの意味

とりあえず、いったん

とりあえず（今のところはいったん）的な表現は以下で表現可能

for the time being
for the moment
