英語日記メモ【1148】

Vo.稲葉さん、うちのオトン・オカンと年齢大して変わらないのに、あんな声でるとかやばいっす
うちのオトン、新年カラオケ行って耳がキーンなって「駄目だ」って歌いもせずに帰ったくらいなんで少しは見習ってほしいですね
「あれ？パチンコは大丈夫なのに…」と心の中で思ったことは胸の内にしまっておきます

The lead vocalist, Inaba, has an incredible voice despite being around my parents’ age. My dad, on the other hand, went to karaoke on New Year’s and had to leave without singing because his ears couldn’t handle it. I wish he could take a cue from Inaba. I kept my thoughts to myself, wondering why he could handle pachinko but not karaoke.

見習って欲しいって表現をI wish he could take a cue from someoneって感じで表現するんすね。なんというか遠回し感があるし、日本語でも英語でもそういう遠回しにいう表現ってあるんだなぁって思った。

今回は新しいアルバムを出したからそのツアーだったようで、知っている曲は3つ4つくらいしかありませんでしたけどあの年まで最前線で頑張っていられるような人生を送ってみたいと思わせられますね

This concert was part of their tour for a new album, so I only knew about three or four songs. Still, seeing them perform at such an age made me aspire to live a life where I can stay at the forefront like them.

初めてのライブだったわけですが、1つ文句を言えば…とにかく見えない
コンサート始まってB’zが出てきたのかすらわからず、後ろの大画面でしか見えなかったのが残念でした

It was my first concert, and I must say… I couldn’t see a thing. When the concert started, I didn’t even realize B’z had come out; I could only see them on the large screen at the back.
