I went to a dentist for the first time in 10 years.

I have no cavity, so I have never go dentist without I was getting my baby teeth removed, but I saw a lot of information on the internet that it is good to go dentist before go abroad.

I didn’t know well about how to use dentist, it seemed like basically reservation system.
I called the dentist to reserve on Monday, but there were almost no reservation left, so I got a reservation period of a time right after opening on Thursday next week that a staff I am calling taugth me.
The day was 4 days before I go to language school in Philippines.

I have already left my job, so I can’t use a health insurance card, I was going to decide whether file a moving-out notification by a depend on the result of health check.
If I finded a bad for my body, I would go hospital with the card.
If I filed a moving-out notification, I wouldn’t be able to use the health insurance card, it is become hospital bills expensive.

And then, when it don’t file moving-out notification, it seemed like it must enroll me Japanese National Health Insurance.
That is determined by Japanese constitution like “The right to maintain the minimum standards of wholesome and cultured living”.
It hurts my money supply to pay sixteen thousand yen a time for going dentist, but it hurts too to pay money for the national insurance nevertheless I will go abroad whole November.
So, I decided to file moving-out notification before go Philipin, I didn’t use my insurance card and go dentist this time.

It was the period of time right after opening, I always fall asleep late and wake up too, so it was hard to go on that time.

When I arrived at front desk, a nurse asked “May I please see your health insurance card?”, I answered “I don’t have that card”, there were a space between us, after that I received a medical questionaire and I filled it out while I could hear whispered talk of nurthes.
Beforehand, I told “I have no insurance card because I will go abroad”, it seemed like nurths telling that thing with whispered talk, a doctor understood and said “I see.”

Then, since I called my name, I went inside room and I got an explanation from a doctor, I told him “I heard I had better to go dentist before I go abroad, so I came here”, then my teeth were checked.

First, the doctor checked my teeth whether there is cavity, then he change with a woman who I couldn’t remember her job name that called nurth or dental assistant.
She painted it on my teeth making easier to see unbrushed area, I rinsed my mouth out, she showed my teeth with a mirror.
I felt my teeth are dirty.

My gums had become almost bluish purple.

I always brush my teeth with palm grip, I heard from her, it could be cleaned up my teeth surface, but it couldn’t be cleaned up around my gums.
So she recommended me brushing with pen grip like holding a pen and it is good to clean up one each of my tooth carefully.
Plus, she taught me it is good to use a dental floss for brushing between my teeth.

She taught me the way of brushing with the mirror actually, I felt embarrassed.

And then, First, she cleaned up my teeth with a machine which has a role clean the bluish purple of medical paint or unbrushing with a stream of water.

Second, she was brushing my surface of my teeth with anything.
↓
Thirth, she cleaned with the dental floss between my teeth.

I think it was over 30 min altogether.

After that, the doctor return here and I got a explain about status of my teeth, then I return the front desk and I paid a dental bill.
Despite It was my first visit, that bill was 3300 yen.
It was cheaper than I thouhgt.

When I called this dental, I heard from a staff it had better to have about 10,000 yen, so I had 20,000 yen just in case, but a I didn’t need that much.

This time was only dental check up, but if I took an X-ray or I got a treatment, of course it would cost a lot more bill.
I heard X-ray is using to check a state of wisdom tooth how buried.

Especially, I went to the dentist no disease, but I was really surprised that the dentist treatment this far.
I thought I can go home about 10 min.

I think it had better go dentist a lot because it costs national health insurance.

[ Postscript ]

Before I go Philipin, I heard that it had better to leave national health insurance next to file moving-out notification, so I did that, but it seemes like it was possible to use my insuranse card at dentist this time.

Besides, it seemes the billing of social insurance and health insurance are determined at end of month, if I left my job at 20th, I would file moving-out notification at 27th, I thought it is obligated to enroll that while the month.
But those billing are determined at end of month, if I filed moving-out before the determine billing, it would not obigated to pay billing after that month.

So, it seems like if I have a medical expenses receipt, I would need pay only 30% medical fees.
It maybe get 70% of the billing back if I went to a city office.

If it is correct, I should have done taking the X-ray.

It was educational for me.
