初日

I woke up at 7 o’clock and I ate breakfast, after that, I took a level check test from 8:30 am, then I joined a orientation.
In the middle of orientation, I was warned strongly a staff not to have sense like I’m still in Japan.
Philipin is lower cost of living than Japan, so Filipino are naturally low paid.
If a local people stolen someone’s smartphone and selled the stolen goods, it would become two year’s worth of income, I heard.
So, we were warned strongly the staff not to keep putted own smartphone on a table, when you eat lunch in a local restrant.
After that, a money exchanger came in this lungage school after lunch time, so I exchanged 50,000 yen into Philipine pessos.
It became very thick even though 50,000 yen exchanged into Philippine pesos. Because 1,000 pesso note (about 2,000 yen) is the largest banknote denomination of the Philippine pesos, so it was naturally to become thick. It didn’t fit in my wallet absolutely, I think it is not better to exchange too much.
But, I need to pay 40,000 yen and I paid it at there, so it fitted in my wallet.
When we finished exchanging own money, we followed a staff and went to near shopping mall by walk. It took about 10 min.
We were passing through a residential street to go there, when we go through the street, a lot of local peoples saw our, threre was no side walk, we were walking between roadway and buildings like a shop or house, there were local peoples, besides homeless dogs mixed in there. It was surprised for me.
When I arrived at the shopping mall, there was a guard. I wear student ID card around my neck, so I could pass through easily the guard.
When I entered into the shopping mall, it was more quiet than I thought. I felt the number of people inside was smaller than outside.
Then, there was a supermarket underground, I bought pet bottle juice.
I couldn’t bare drinking only water in the shcool life.
There were a various items, but it was cheaper than Japan. Because a 500ml pet bottle water was about 15 yen.
Then, we met up after shopping, we came back our language school, we took a lecture how to study English and we introduce ourselves in front of teachers. we were disgusted look.
Anyway, it was finished the orientation so far.
When I came back our room, a Chinese roommate asked I and a Japanese roommate to go restaurant in the local, so we went to it.
The restaurant was on the way until the shopping mall. But it was so scary. There was other scared in night compared to daytime.
The local restaurant didn’t have door, window, wall in front and back, so it was so open atmosphere.
Especially, I didn’t know how to order, so I ordered the same thing that Chinese roommate ordered.
I got a number tab, I was waiting for a little time, A staff brought my dish to me, it was delicious, but it was spicy.
When I finished eating and took the number tab to the register, it was 82 pesos. It was 164 yen in Japanese yen. It was so cheap.
The cheap made me impacted, but I had only 80 pesos with small coins, so I was upset. If I borrowed 2 pesos or I paid by 1000 pesos bill, I thought it would be better to borrow.
I felt it was scared to take out 1000 pesos bill in the local restaurant, so I borrowed 2 pesos by the Chinese roommate.
And then, I came back and I was going to do work, but my head made hurt by the dish in the local restaurant.
When I eat spicy food, it gives me a headach.
Plus, it made me sleepy, so I couldn’t concentrate on the work.
So, I went to bed. I thought it is hard to be used to new environment.
